Hospitals Add 1,200 Jobs in November

While the healthcare industry as a whole added 28,400 jobs last month, hospital jobs grew by just 1,200, according to the most recent seasonally adjusted numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In October, the hospital sector added 1,100 jobs, according to the adjusted numbers.

Overall, healthcare job growth has averaged 19,000 jobs per month in 2013, much lower than the 2012 job growth average of 27,000 per month.
