The four-story, 310,000-square-foot pavilion will include a new emergency department, which will replace the current 62,875-square-foot ED.
Five years ago, the hospital had planned to build a $204 million facility, but the project was shelved when the economic recession hit.
The hospital has filed a letter of intent with the Michigan Department of Community Health. The project is estimated to be completed by fall 2015, according to the report.
