Virginia Hospital Center, Children’s National Partner on Neonatology

Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington and Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., announced they have entered a three-year agreement to enhance specialty neonatology care in northern Virginia.

Under the agreement, Children’s National will manage Virginia Hospital Center’s neonatal intensive care unit, effective Aug. 15. Children’s National will provide clinical services as well as operations and administrative management of the NICU, such as medical record management.

Billie Lou Short, MD, division chief of neonatology at Children’s National, will serve as medical director of Virginia Hospital Center’s NICU.
