During the time of the allegedly improper billing from 2001 through 2006, NOHC was an independent physician group that practiced at EMH. The Department of Justice claimed EMH and NHOC performed medically unnecessary angioplasty and stent procedures on Medicare patients.
Under the settlement, EMH agreed to pay roughly $3.86 million, and NOHC agreed to pay $541,870.
