PAs’ ownership interests, however, must be limited to a minority stake in the entity, and the ownership interest of any one PA cannot equal or exceed that of any of the physician owners. PAs are additionally prohibited from serving as an officer in the organization or employing a physician to be their supervising physician, according to the alert.
