TeamHealth Acquires Midwest Emergency Associates

TeamHealth has acquired Chicago-based Midwest Emergency Associates and related entities, according to a TeamHealth news release.

Under the agreement, TeamHealth will assume management responsibilities of 12 emergency departments and four urgent care centers, which combined have 500,000 patient visits annually. MEA leadership will continue in their positions and the central office will continue to explore expansion opportunities.
