Beaufort Memorial in South Carolina to Unveil $14.5M Emergency Center

Beaufort (S.C.) Memorial Hospital has announced that it will unveil its $14.5 million Pratt Emergency Center to the public Sunday.

The 20,500-square-foot center is more than double the size of the former emergency department. It will feature 24 private rooms, two trauma centers and decontamination areas such as an outdoor space for patients exposed to non-toxic materials, an enclosed room for patients exposed to toxins, three detox areas and two isolation rooms for patients with communicable diseases.
