Russell Holman, MD. CMO of LifePoint Health (Brentwood, Tenn.). Dr. Holman joined LifePoint in February 2013 and since then has helped transform the health system’s culture, making quality and patient safety an integral part of all 43,000 employees’ days. As CMO, Dr. Holman has implemented initiatives to reduce patient harms by nearly 50 percent through the CMS Hospital Engagement Network and championed a partnership with Durham, N.C.-based Duke University Health System to create the LifePoint National Quality Program. He also created the 23-hospital health system’s Patient and Family Advisory Board and National Patient Advisory Board to ensure a shared vision and create an organizational strategy.
