Police: Near Murder-Suicide at MetroHealth Medical Center

Police are ruling a Thursday night incident in which a woman shot herself in the head in a Cleveland-based MetroHealth Medical Center parking garage a murder-attempted suicide, according to a report from local TV station WTOV9.

The 58-year-old woman shot herself the evening of Jan. 23 and was put on life support at MetroHealth afterward. The police are not yet releasing her name or hometown.

Hospital security later discovered a 61-year-old man found shot dead in the passenger seat of a car in the parking garage. The man is believed to be the woman’s husband.
