The 330,000-square-foot institute includes 141 private patient rooms, six operating suites and four catheterization laboratories. The facility also features a universal patient floor, which is an evidenced-based care model that maintains the care continuum in one location.
The estimated cost of construction of the institute is $180 million, according to a report by The Times-Picayune.
