The 20-bed center is located in the hospital’s South Tower and provides specialized rehabilitation services to adults who have had a brain injury, stroke or other neurological disorder.
The facility includes a nine-bed brain injury unit, a gym for daily therapy and a home transition apartment. In addition, the center includes a simulated community called Greater Heights that has a fake grocery store, bus stop and ATM to help patients integrate into their own community after discharge, according to the release.
The neurological rehab center is part of the Sinai Rehabilitation Center, which provides inpatient and outpatient care for patients in all stages of rehabilitation.
