The new center will offer full-service healthcare for children, adolescents, adults and seniors, according to the report. Expanding pediatric services to services for adults will provide easier access for families, who previously had to travel to other locations for family medicine.
NCHS will offer the expanded services in a professional medical office condominium. The health center will be approximately 2,700 square feet — double the size of the current facility.
The new building and upgrades are expected to cost approximately $1.5 million, according to the report. The project will be supported by $102,000 NCHS raised at a recent fundraising event.
NCHS aims to open the center by January 2013.
