Memorial Sloan Kettering picks 1st care partner

New York City-based Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center named Hartford (Conn.) Healthcare its first care partner, the Hartford Courant reported June 10.

The partnership will improve cancer care and research in Connecticut and allow Hartford Healthcare physicians to work alongside MSK clinicians and pharmacists. The partnership will also allow greater access to clinical trials and treatments. 

The partnership will officially form after an evaluation of Hartford Healthcare’s facilities this summer. 

Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute became an MSK Cancer Alliance member in 2014 — one of three in the nation.
