Melrose-Wakefield Cuts Ribbon on Diabetes Center

Hallmark Health System in Melrose, Mass., has opened a Joslin Diabetes Affiliate Center, a diabetes program partnered with Harvard Medical School’s Joslin Diabetes Center, at Melrose (Mass.)-Wakefield Hospital, according to a report from the Melrose Free Press.

Care offered at the new center includes diabetes screenings, nutritional counseling and medication management as well as condition management, prevention and treatment.

The center is expected to improve availability to diabetes care for patients living in northwest suburbs of Boston.
