Despite Low Revenues, Las Vegas Hospitals Turn Around Joint $32.6M Loss From 2010

Although Las Vegas Valley’s 13 hospitals recorded a collective $32.6 million loss last year, the hospitals turned around and posted a collective $1.3 million profit on $757.2 million revenues in the first quarter of this year, according to a Las Vegas Review-Journal news report.

According to the news report, seven of the 13 hospitals reported losses. Those hospitals included Mountain View Hospital ($1.1 million loss), Southern Hills Hospital ($4.8 million loss) and UMC ($18 million loss). Hospitals that reported operating profits included Spring Valley Hospital ($5 million), St. Rose-Siena ($9.4 million) and Summerlin Hospital ($8.7 million).
