If certified, Kiowa County Memorial Hospital would be the first critical access hospital with the LEED Platinum designation.

The new hospital, smaller than its 1950s-era predecessor, no longer offers behavioral health services but does have an employee day-care center and space for a third-party retail pharmacy.
