Kaleida Health Receives Approval for New Children’s Hospital

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health announced that it has received approval from the New York State Department of Health Public Health and Health Planning Council for its 12-floor John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital.

According to a Buffalo Business First report, the $220 million, freestanding facility will replace the existing Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. It will include a neonatal intensive care unit, a regional pediatric trauma center and will house pediatric medical subspecialists. The hospital is slated to open in 2016.
