The resuscitation center will be the first one in Kentucky and will allow for use of new treatments such as a therapeutic hypothermia treatment for patients who have suffered a heart attack. The hybrid OR will provide more space for performing new procedures such as the transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
The construction is made possible by grants of more than $18 million from the Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Foundation.
