Fox Chase has entered into an 80-year lease with the city for 19.4 acres of the park to build its planned $1 billion expansion project, but the Philadelphia Orphan’s Court blocked the deal.
Michael V. Seiden, MD, president and CEO of Fox Chase, said the center will not appeal the decision and is now exploring alternative expansion plans both in and outside the city, but no decision has been reached yet.
