Hospitals operated by districts could face financing troubles if the measure becomes law. Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital CFO William Woeltjen said the measure would likely hurt the hospital’s bond rating and its ability to issue bonds.
The Commission is considering other measures and is expected to report its recommendations to Gov. Scott and the legislature sometime next year.
