Duke University Hospital (Durham, N.C.). Duke University Hospital is a full-service tertiary and quaternary care hospital with 957 inpatient beds and 51 operating rooms. It is also home to the Duke Family Medicine Center, which gives women the opportunity to go through pregnancy with a group of eight to 12 other expecting moms due around the same time. This group meets regularly to share and discuss alongside one-on-one appointments with physicians. For women’s surgery, Duke is known for its minimally invasive surgery techniques. Its urogynecology team has pioneered some minimally invasive techniques for pelvic organ prolapse. Duke University Hospital’s dedication to women’s health secured it a No. 21 spot on the U.S. News & World Report top 50 hospitals for gynecology rankings in 2017-18 and snagged a Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospitals for Obstetrics.
