Construction Begins on Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital in California

Construction has begun on the 152,000-square-foot, 52-bed Goleta (Calif.) Valley Cottage Hospital, part of Cottage Health System, according to a report by the Daily Sound.

The new facility will replace Goleta’s current facility and will feature two medical and surgical inpatient units and an expanded emergency department. It is expected to cost $105 million to build, and hospital executives aim to raise $10 million in donations to defray the overall cost, according to the report.
