Chinese Company Acquires 20% Interest in MD Anderson Proton Therapy Center

Concord Medical Services Holdings, a Beijing-based network of radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging centers, has acquired a 19.98 percent indirect ownership interest in the The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Proton Therapy Center.

Under the agreement, Concord Medical will join the board of PTC-Houston Management, the general partner and facility manager of the MD Anderson Proton Therapy Center.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
