Cancer Center, University in Georgia Partner on Art, Music Therapy

Augusta (Ga.) State University announced its departments of art and music will collaborate with the Georgia Health Sciences University Cancer Center in Augusta to provide art and music therapy for cancer patients.

Music students and faculty will play in the lobby atrium and infusion room of the cancer center. The collaboration may lead to a new music therapy degree program.

Selected art students will undergo special training at ASU and at the cancer center before the partnership begins next semester, according to the release.
