The agreement took effect Jan. 1. It focuses on implementing a value-based reimbursement model as opposed to a fee-for-service delivery model, a BCBS of Western New York spokesperson told Clarence Bee.
“Our continued collaboration ensures that BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York members will have access to expert oncology care, the newest therapies and state-of-the-art medical care provided by more than 300 physicians across all three Roswell Park locations and the institute’s five affiliated community practices,” Roswell Park President and CEO Candace Johnson said in a statement.
