The theme, “proud moments,” encourages perioperative nurses to share their proudest moments in care with colleagues, highlighting the many ways in which perioperative nurses improve the patient experience and patient safety.
Perioperative Nurse Week 2013 also includes opportunities for perioperative nurses and their supporters to send letters on the importance of the position to elected officials and news outlets as well as instructions for asking for and submitting a proclamation officially declaring Perioperative Nurse Week in individual communities.
