Akron Children’s Hospital Constructs $180M Addition

Akron (Ohio) Children’s Hospital is constructing a $180 million addition, according to an Akron Beacon Journal Online report.

The seven-story, 368,735-square-foot addition will feature a new emergency department, outpatient surgery center and 100-bed neonatal intensive-care unit.

It is expected to be completed on Feb. 20, 2015, two months earlier than the original completion date, according to the report.
