Oregon pediatric hospital launches mobile app for remote patient monitoring

Listen

Oregon Health & Science University Doernbecher Children's Hospital is using a new platform developed by Locus Health, a digital health platform company, to improve follow-up care for cardiology and neonatal intensive care unit patients.

The remote monitoring system connects parents to Portland-based OHSU healthcare providers via an app, allowing them to share their babies' health information in real time. The app can record health data including heart rate, oxygen levels, food intake and weight, Locus Health Vice President Lindsey Koshansky, RN, said in a news release emailed to Becker's Hospital Review.

The app, called Growing @ Home, is compatible with Apple iPads and iPhones.
