The pediatric urgent care service connects caregivers with pediatric emergency physicians via video conferencing on NewYork-Presbyterian’s website or mobile app. The remote physician will be able to evaluate children for common conditions — such as fever, rashes or vomiting — and can provide advice, treatment and medication recommendations.
The service covers patients across the state and will be available to patients between 6 p.m. and midnight. NewYork-Presbyterian plans to expand the service to Connecticut, Florida and New Jersey in the following months.
