The TeleCritical Care system will allow ICU clinicians at Bay Pines to connect virtually with other clinicians 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The system will allow the hospital to expand its medical team remotely and consult with other specialists on complicated cases. Care through the system can be accessed by clicking a button.
Bay Pines is the first hospital in Saint Petersburg, Fla.-based VA Sunshine Healthcare network to implement the telehealth system.
