Color Health, Oregon Health Authority launch free COVID-19 telehealth service

Digital health company Color Health is partnering with the Oregon Health Authority to provide free telehealth appointments for Oregonians to check if they are eligible for oral antiviral treatments for COVID-19, KDRV reported Nov. 15.

The service is available to patients without insurance and is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. The Oregon Health Authority said patients at a higher risk for COVID-19 complications and whose symptoms started in the past five days can use the service to get an antiviral prescription from a Color Health clinician.

"These medicines can help prevent severe COVID-19 illness, hospitalization and even death," OHA Therapeutics Clinical and Equity Lead Andrea Lara, MD, told KDRV. "They should be available for free for anyone who needs them, whether or not the person has health insurance."
