Here’s how four hospitals extended services leading up to the tropical storm.
1. Orlando-based Florida Hospital waived fees on its Florida Hospital eCare app, which connects users to medical providers for $49 per session, for residents through Sept. 12.
2. Jacksonville-based Nemours Children’s Health System extended complimentary virtual visits to patients in Florida and Georgia on its Nemours CareConnect app.
3. Orlando Health provided free services to residents of Hurricane Irma evacuation zones through its telemedicine vendor, Teladoc, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
4. Jacksonville-based St. Vincent’s HealthCare waived $49.99 fees for its St. Vincent’s On Demand service, which provides 24-hour nonemergency virtual care via video conferencing, according to WJCT.
