Top 25 healthcare supply chains: Gartner

On Gartner's 15th annual ranking of the nation's best health system supply chains, Cleveland Clinic secured the No. 1 spot for the third consecutive year.

Every year, Gartner evaluates hospital systems for their supply chain leadership, which is decided by two independent panels and data on patient care quality; bond rating; and environmental, social and governance excellence.

Compared to last year's list, new inclusions include Advocate Health (No. 5), Johns Hopkins Medicine (No. 18) and Henry Ford Health (No. 21). Allina jumped 12 spots, from No. 20 to No. 8, and Sutter Health advanced from No. 25 to No. 16.

Between 2021 and 2022, Mercy fell 12 spots, and in the 2023 ranking, the health system slipped off the top 25 list. Sentara Healthcare also didn't make the cut.
