State OKs University of Vermont Medical Center's $5M equipment purchase

The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington will buy more than $5 million in medical equipment after receiving state approval, VTDigger reports.

To meet federal limitations for radiation output, the medical center will replace its current equipment with a $2.7 million PET/CT imaging system. A $2.3 million robotic surgical system is also part of the purchase.
