St. Barnabas Hospital Identifies 12% Surgical Savings With Amerinet Program

Amerinet has helped St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, N.Y., identify 12 percent in medical surgical savings opportunities since the hospital began using Amerinet’s Savings Roadmap in 2006.

St. Barnabas Hospital is a 461-bed acute care teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center. The Amerinet Savings Roadmap, a dynamic spend analytics tool, is able to analyze and compare a provider’s current spend with Amerinet’s portfolio of product and service contracts to identify savings opportunities.

The hospital’s average savings was 13 percent early on and currently ranges 19 percent to 29 percent. Between 2008 and 2009, the hospital realized 84 percent improvement in price accuracy.
