Renton, Wash.-based Providence has named Amanda Chawla chief supply chain officer, effective Aug. 24.
Ms. Chawla joins Providence from Stanford (Calif.) Medicine, where she serves as senior vice president, chief supply chain and post-acute care officer, according to a July 10 hospital news release. In that role, she oversees the health system’s supply chain organization and initiatives focused on operational performance, innovation, digital transformation and nonlabor expense management.
At Providence, Ms. Chawla will lead the health system’s supply chain strategy and operations, with responsibility for strengthening resiliency, improving performance and supporting caregivers across its hospitals and communities.
Before joining Stanford Medicine, Ms. Chawla held executive leadership roles at Marin Health and other healthcare organizations, overseeing clinical operations, strategy, business development and support services.
