Ten health systems have posted job listings for supply chain expertise in the last week:

Eco-Med Pharmaceuticals issued a recall Aug. 4 of several lots of its ultrasound gel after finding they were contaminated with the bacteria Burkholderia cepacia, which has caused at least 15 infections. 

The nonacute portion of the healthcare continuum represents 95 percent of all patient visits within health systems.

Florida hospitals are struggling to get enough oxygen to treat their COVID-19 patients as virus cases surge because of the delta variant, Bloomberg reported Aug. 4.
