A nonprofit based in Warren, Ohio, that runs Trumbull Regional Medical Center and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital is fighting claims that it owes nearly $300,000 to Roche Diagnostics, 21 WFMJ reported June 24.

Insight Foundation of Trumbull denied nearly all allegations in a lawsuit filed by Roche in May, which accuses the foundation of breaching its agreement and failing to pay for medical testing equipment and services valued at $294,646.55.

In a federal court filing this week, the organization argued that its financial obligations were already defined in thousands of documents tied to the Steward Health Care bankruptcy.

The dispute comes after months of turmoil at Trumbull and Hillside hospitals. After acquiring the facilities from Steward, Insight had to pause most patient services in late March when Steward stopped funding operations.
