The computer outage shut down the company’s IT systems for global ordering, fulfillment and manufacturing for one week in June. Medtronic — a Dublin, Ireland-based medical technology company with operational headquarters in Minneapolis — is still investigating the internal infrastructure problem.
Medtronic said it experienced a “temporary IT infrastructure issue which caused some delays to customer ordering and fulfilment,” according to an emailed statement obtained by Becker’s Hospital Review in June. The IT system has since been restored, however, Medtronic continues to fill back orders.
“We do expect our first-quarter revenue growth on a constant currency basis to be within our guidance of 4 to 5 percent, but at the lower end of that range,” Ms. Parkhill told Bloomberg.
