The facility, which will be 660,000-square-feet, could employ up to 400 people once it hits full capacity in seven to 10 years. Initially Medline will employ 100 full-time workers at the center.
“It will be essentially a healthcare supply chain center,” said Dmitry Dukhan, vice president of real estate for Medline, told the Winston-Salem Journal.
Construction on the $40 million center is expected to begin in the latter half of this year. The building would open in 2021.
