Primordial Ventures, a startup medical device supplier, is setting up shop in Birmingham, Ala., according to the state's Department of Commerce.
The minority- and veteran-owned company plans to open a manufacturing facility in an existing building in early 2024. The plant will make catheter kits, urine bags, cadaver bags and medical-grade tubing for customers in the U.S., Mexico, Chile and Colombia.
Before choosing Birmingham, Primordial Ventures also considered building the site in Jacksonville and Ocala, Fla., and Doraville and Duluth, Ga.
