The distributor sent a letter to Rocky Hill Mayor Joe Kochanek the week of June 11 alerting him to its plan to move out of Connecticut.

While McKesson didn’t disclose the reason for moving out of the state, the company said “the move will be soon.”

McKesson has been sued recently by several Connecticut cities, including New Haven, Norwalk and Danbury, which allege the company had a role in the U.S. opioid crisis.
