Intermountain Healthcare's supply chain organization recognized four of its suppliers for their exceptional contributions to the Salt Lake City-based health system's cost, quality and patient outcomes.

The recipients were chosen based on input from several Intermountain clinical areas and the supply chain organization's leadership team, as well as the supplier's current and historical performance.

Here are Intermountain's 2016 Supplier Award winners.

  • San Francisco-based McKesson earned the Collaboration MVP award for its ability to be proactive, responsive and transparent while creating savings opportunities for Intermountain.

  • Deerfield, Ill.-based Baxter International won the Customer Service Excellence Award for its professional, responsive and compliant communication with the health system.
