Intermountain Healthcare recognizes 4 suppliers for outstanding work

Intermountain Healthcare’s supply chain organization recognized four of its suppliers for their exceptional contributions to the Salt Lake City-based health system’s cost, quality and patient outcomes.

The recipients were chosen based on input from several Intermountain clinical areas and the supply chain organization’s leadership team, as well as the supplier’s current and historical performance.

Here are Intermountain’s 2016 Supplier Award winners.

  • San Francisco-based McKesson earned the Collaboration MVP award for its ability to be proactive, responsive and transparent while creating savings opportunities for Intermountain.
  • Deerfield, Ill.-based Baxter International won the Customer Service Excellence Award for its professional, responsive and compliant communication with the health system.
  • Mentor, Ohio-based Steris earned the Cost, Quality, Outcomes Award for its ability to weight patient outcomes and create shared value. The company offered an operating room liaison who helped educate clinical teams and identify areas of need.
  • Saint Paul, Minn.-based St. Jude Medical won the Supply Chain Excellence Award for its commitment to contracting, sourcing and customer relationship outcomes. It also took a collaborative approach to distribute cardiac rhythm management implants to the health system.
