Here are four takeaways:

  1. The survey, which included 100 C-suite executives and 100 supply chain leaders across the U.S., found differing views on the role of supply chain in driving growth, according to a March 11 news release shared with Becker’s
  2. While both groups acknowledged the importance of supply chain for business success, 85% of supply chain leaders said they view themselves as critical to growth, compared to only 70% of C-suite executives.
  3. Despite this, 46% of executives surveyed said they expect the supply chain to have more visibility in the C-suite in the coming year, with plans for more staffing and investment.
  4. Both groups also acknowledged that supply chain leaders struggle to communicate their value to the broader organization, with 99% of C-suite executives and 100% of supply chain leaders agreeing on this point. Additionally, both sides said the responsibility to improve communication lies with the supply chain team.
