Several of Roche’s devices used to check blood glucose, test anticoagulation or monitor heartbeat irregularities have vulnerabilities that could be exploited by a hacker. The report warns about five products, including the Accu-Chek Inform II, CoaguChek Pro II, CoaguChek XS Plus, CoaguChek XS Pro and the cobas h 232 POC system.
Roche has scheduled fixes for the devices and expects the updated products to be released later this month. The company recommend restricting network and physical access to the devices and monitoring the system for suspicious activity.
