GE Healthcare introduced new technology at the Estro 2025 Congress that is designed to use AI to make planning radiation for cancer treatment faster and more accurate.

The model, MR Contour DL, uses deep learning to segment 37 organs in the head, neck and pelvic regions from MR images, according to a May 2 news release from the company. The model is designed to improve speed and accuracy in radiation therapy planning.

The company also plans to add Spectronic Medical’s AB’s MRI Planner software to its portfolio. The software converts MR images into synthetic CT images for MR-only radiotherapy workflows, the release said.
