CVS Health warned customers who purchased the product from CVS stores to discontinue use and return them for a refund.

Rite Aid told CNBC in an emailed statement that it informed all stores to pull the product from shelves and store it in a secure location.

J&J voluntarily recalled one lot, or about 33,000 bottles, of baby powder last week and is working with investigators to determine the integrity of the test sample and validity of the test results, according to CNBC.
