Cardinal Health is planning to open a new distribution center in Indianapolis.
The 230,000-square-foot facility will feature the latest automation technology, including an industry-first robotic storage and retrieval system, according to a Sept. 30 company news release. The facility is expected to support distribution of more than 70,000 pharmaceutical and specialty deliveries daily across the nation.
The facility is expected to be fully operational by fall 2027 and is Cardinal’s second pharmaceutical distribution center announced since 2024.
