In late September, Cardinal Health said it would be “ceasing operation of certain manufacturing lines” at its manufacturing center in Norfolk, Neb., and will lay off 14 employees by Nov. 24. Layoffs for 10 other employees were announced in mid-October, and “separation will occur” for those workers Dec. 15.
It is unclear if the company — which has about 800 plants in the U.S. and a few dozen around the world — is planning another phase of layoffs at this plant. No other Cardinal Health locations have recently been notified of layoffs or shuttered operations.
