Cardinal Health issued a recall Dec. 5 for certain urology and operating room-specific kits and trays that include saline and sterile water from Nurse Assist.

Nurse Assist recalled more than 70 solutions of its saline and sterile water products in early November due to the potential for a lack of sterility assurance.

To date, there have been no reports of patient harm tied to the recalled products in its kits and trays, Cardinal Health said.

The company is recommending healthcare organizations attach a warning label to affected kits and trays, instructing clinicians to remove and discard the recalled saline and sterile water products.
